On the east side of LaSalle, about halfway between Chicago Avenue and Division Street, just south of Oak — directly across from the Moody Bible Institute.

Driving Directions

From the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94): take the Ohio Street exit east, then turn left onto LaSalle. The church is on the right, directly across from the Moody Bible Institute.

From Lake Shore Drive (Highway 41): take the Chicago Avenue exit and drive west to LaSalle. Turn right; the church is a few blocks up on the right. If you pass Oak Street, you have gone too far.

By Public Transit

CTA Red Line: the nearest stops are Clark/Division and Chicago/State. From either it is about a four-block walk.

By bus: the #22 Clark stops at Oak Street, near the Newberry Library — walk half a block west to LaSalle, then three doors south. The #36 stops at State and Oak — walk four blocks west to LaSalle, then three doors south.

Visitors are always welcome. Come as you are — a member of the parish will be glad to help you find your way during the service.

What to Expect

Attire: Out of respect for the sacredness of the temple, we ask that visitors dress modestly.

Holy Communion: Holy Communion is reserved for baptized members of the Orthodox Church who have prepared through fasting and confession.

Visiting Clergy: If you are from another Diocese, please inquire with our Chancery offices ([email protected]) for a blessing to serve.

Children: Children are a vital part of our community. We encourage families to worship together. If your child becomes restless, the narthex or our courtyard are available for brief respites.
